25 Jul 2017
A team of adventurous staff from Leeds Federated have taken on the Yorkshire Three Peaks walk to raise money for Cancer Research.
The team are aiming to raise over £500 and donations can be made on Just Giving.
The three peaks challenge was part of a two-month health and wellbeing campaign which has included various activities to encourage staff to Be Happy, Healthy and Active. Earlier this month a team ran the Leeds 10k, there have been free healthchecks, resilience sessions and challenges such as sugar free and caffeine free weeks. Staff have also been competing in teams to see who can cover the most distance cycling, walking or swimming over the course of the campaign.
Matthew Walker, Leeds Fed's Chief Executive said: I am proud of everyone who took part and did an amazing job walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks. It was a tough challenge and a great achievement. Thank you to everyone who has donated to help us raise money for Cancer Research."
